U.S. District Court, M.D. GA, Seeks Attorneys to Represent Indigent Criminal Defendants
The United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia is revising its plan for the representation of indigent criminal defendants under the Criminal Justice Act (CJA). As part of the revision, a formal panel of attorneys willing to accept CJA appointments will be established. All attorneys seeking admission onto the CJA panel must complete an application for admission.
Attorneys currently receiving CJA appointments must also complete the application for admission to the CJA Panel. Once the panel is established, future consideration for CJA appointments will primarily be given to those attorneys selected for the panel.
Attorneys selected to serve on the CJA panel will be required to attend a one-day annual CJA training session.
All completed applications should be submitted electronically to cja.applic firstname.lastname@example.org.
